Dear Debbie,
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated your presentation of my Harrisburg Magazine article. The framing work made it magnificent, and you have very adeptly made it a piece of art. I can assure you that it will be hung in a special place in my den at home, and I will always reflect upon it with many positive memories.
Thank you for your kindness and friendship.
Sincerely,
Scott J. Newkam

Dear Debbie:
Thank you so much for the beautiful job you did on framing Adam's poems. My parents were absolutely thrilled with them. Their reaction to seeing them framed so beautifully stirred up the same emotions they experienced when the poems were initially presented to them. My mother's comment was that she "never saw anything so beautiful!"
I have to share with you why I think these poems struck such an emotional chord in my parents. Besides being touched by the beautiful words written by their grandson, I think it helps to understand what Adam was referring to in one part of The Rose. The one verse in Adam's poem to my mother refers to "the rose was not always perfect, the stem not always strong," which is a reference to my mother having been stricken with polio when she was three years old. She spent a great deal of her childhood in and out of the Children's Hospital in Elizabethtown. She told us on Saturday that she can remember being 12 years old and sitting in her bed at Elizabethtown and asking herself what would become of her life. She told us that she never dreamed that she would have a life that has been full of so many blessings. Family has always been the most important thing in my parents' lives. It was definitely an emotional moment for all of us!
So, Debbie, thank you again for being such an instrumental part in making our gift to my parents so special. I don't think I've ever felt that excited in giving someone a gift. I'm so thankful that you were recommended to me.
Dear Debbie:
On behalf of Andrews, Sacunas & Saline, Inc., I wanted to personally thank you and your staff for your assistance with the coordination of the framed gifts for last week's Grand Opening Celebration of the McDade Trade & Transit Centre in Williamsport.
We greatly appreciated your patience, flexibility and dependability with coordinating many details in an effort to complete the gifts for our client on a quick turnaround. Your work is superb, and your outstanding effort did not go unrecognized.
We look forward to opportunities to work with you and your staff again in the future.
I wish you and your staff a very happy holiday! Thank you, once again, for helping to make the Grand Opening Celebration a success!
Dear Central Penn:
It is my understanding that Mr. Skip Becker of Capitol Trailways is nominating Ms. Debbie Smith-Voight of the Smith Custom Framing & Fine Art Gallery for your Forty Under 40 award. By copy of this letter, I am extremely pleased to second this nomination.
The framing demands of the Senate of Pennsylvania are many and varied. Throughout the year, we require the framing of artwork, citations, resolutions, etc. for formal presentation at events throughout the Commonwealth as well as the United States. We also require the framing of pieces of art and formal oil portraits of government officials to be hung in the Main Capitol.
Several years ago, I became dissatisfied with the quality and timeliness of the framing being done for the Senate. I had seen several pieces that Debbie had done for the House of Representatives. I asked if she would be interested in doing some work for the Senate.
The work Smith Framing produced for us was absolutely beautiful and we have been pleased ever since. Debbie is always available to us and handles our projects personally. This is greatly appreciated and gratifying especially in light of her many other client demands and her substantial voluntary commitment to her community.
The demands of the Senate are not easily met. Almost every piece is time sensitive. That is, we call Debbie and need a piece appropriately framed by the next morning for presentation at a ceremony. She is always pleasant and handles the matter professionally and quickly.
Over the years of our affiliation with Debbie, we have become spoiled. Nothing but her high quality of work will ever again be acceptable to us. I look forward to many more years of our continued personal and professional relationships.
It is my understanding that you may telephone various people to verify letters, nominations or seconds to nominations. I would be happy to speak with you on the telephone to deliver a splendid recommendation on Debbie's behalf.
Sincerely,
Mark R. Corrigan
Secretary of the Senate
Senate of Pennsylvania
