Jeanney WhartonI have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a Specialization in Graphic and On-line Design from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. I am originally from the bayous of southern Louisiana. My career path began in computers and business but I have always had a passion for the arts. That passion led me to an opportunity in which I utilized my creative and business skills working for galleries in New Orleans. My quest for art and business took me to the Florida Panhandle where I owned and operated a custom frame shop, art gallery, and art supply store.

Later, I moved to the mountains of Pennsylvania where I created community art events, worked for a local gallery, and taught art classes in various venues. In addition to my
community experience, I revitalized the local arts council, which led to a nomination in the RULE Pennsylvania Leadership Program sponsored by Penn State University. Upon graduating from this two-year program I was selected to serve a two year term on the RULE management team.

After graduating from Lock Haven University I was called back to Louisiana to take care of a sick mother. My time there provided an opportunity to utilize my degree as a Graphic Designer/Media Technician.

I am now completing a circle by moving back to Pennsylvania to be with my family. I have studied many forms of art from pottery, painting, mosaic, stained glass, sculpture,
collage’, paper art, and graphic design. With my diverse business background and set of skills I look forward to an opportunity that would allow me to share my experience and skills. I plan to challenge myself toward continued growth and diversity by utilizing my experience to create new and original concepts that broaden my path while continuing my quest of a beginning, a middle, with no end.
